Red Salute to My Kerala

You were born and extended in Kerala,
When river separated you, those trees protected you.
Strong and boldly you dominated Punnamada with hasty strokes,
You stood sturdily at the powerful waterfalls of Athirapilly.
The lengthy lake of Vembanad became your tourist place,
When you fished at the earnest lake of Ashtamudi.
You spent time watching sunset at the moderate orb of Shankumugham,
Though some admit their defeat to the holy water of Pampa bay.
And today, that water threatens you
And you are bouncing back powerfully
The water & the evil eye won’t break you
Because the People, Army, Navy, Fishermen
and our young boys and girls are with you.
Hold my hand and let’s rebuild
our Gods own Country Kerala.
Lal Salaam.
